Geoff writes: a grey day, there was an outside chance it was soarable, but we decided to stay in and do some work, and Judith had to get the next LMSC newsletter out. It did spit a bit with rain too at times, so even if it had been flyable, it would probably not have been that interesting.
Next week, though, is looking nice, with lighter winds, and a little less warm, so the skiing could be ok.

I did it, I did it, I did it. I shouted that after I’d landed the Scandal XKR at the top of the Mynd. Not so much because I’d never done it before, but because it had been such a long time (21 months). Isn’t it nice when we’ve flown in the UK and you haven’t !
The glider has got a tendency to dip the left wing and drop at any provocation, but is fine when 360’ing, so I need to investigate tuning it. I’m really looking forward to flying the HG again now, I’ve got a tail fin to fit and can then go aerotowing – topless scandals are horribe to aerotow so I’m told due to the tendency to Yaw a lot.
Well done Dave. So let’s go XC together on the HG, as well as the paragliders!
