Geoff writes: we were a bit tired after the excitement of the beach yesterday, so spent the day chilling out, doing a tiny bit of work, and in the evening catching up on the wine and food we missed yesterday.

Brrrr! It’s cold.
We were supposed to go skiing today, but the forecast front came in early and they were predicting sporadic snow above 400m. We’re fair weather skiers, and couldn’t be bothered with the cloud and lumpy snow, never mind possibly having to mess around with snow chains on the way home. Instead we got on with some overdue work. It was grey here and there was some rain – the first since the 23rd of December. We’ve had the heating on all day, which is pretty unusual.
Worse weather tomorrow. We may even get some snow here.

Geoff writes: a grey day, there was an outside chance it was soarable, but we decided to stay in and do some work, and Judith had to get the next LMSC newsletter out. It did spit a bit with rain too at times, so even if it had been flyable, it would probably not have been that interesting.
Next week, though, is looking nice, with lighter winds, and a little less warm, so the skiing could be ok.

Another day in the sick bed, but I did manage to get up and make dinner, so there’s hope for tomorrow night yet. Unfortunately, my dad’s under the weather and Geoff is starting to cough and sneeze too. Still, at least the weather’s crap, so we’re not missing much.

I woke up feeling terrible, and didn’t improve much during the day. No idea what the actual weather outside was, as I didn’t really get out of bed much. I think the sun came out in the afternoon. No phone calls to go flying, so either nobody bothered, or they realised from my croaky voice and constant sneezing that we may not be out for a few days. I hate being ill. Where’s my lemsips?

We were quite optimistic about going flying today. Beautiful blue sky, lighter winds, etc. until we actually went to pack our stuff and get ready, when it rapidly clouded over and the forecast cold front appeared. It didn’t rain, but it was as if someone had dimmed the lights. Geoff was on a roll on the accounts and so we knuckled down and finished them. It’s a relief for us, although the amount of corporation tax we pay is hardly going to make a dent in the budget deficit. Anyway, enough of the boring stuff, hopefully we can get out and do/write about something marginally more interesting than work soon.
