Judith spent most of the day editing the latest podcast with Tom Payne, on his experiences in the X-Alps – the follow up to the podcast we released a while ago about his preparation for the competition. As always, well worth listening to! Go to the podcast page (link at top of this page) to view it.

Hi Geoff,
You probably saw Wayne and myself on the hill – we were flying around 6.30 – 7. Wayne had 2 short flights and I had a 20 minute soar and top landing. If the glider you saw was tearing around, standing on a wingtip and doing loops….probably Wayne. If it was tootling gently around, “Driving Miss Daisy” style….probably me.
The hill was eerily deserted….all the showers I guess.
Nice holiday in Scotland, Stewart?
Yeah, pretty good thanks. The only problem was, I did my first 2 top landings the day before we went. I was buzzing about them for days afterwards, and the only person I could talk to them about was Jane (t’wife). I think she’d got a bit bored after I talked her throught my flight for the 7th time…
