We were woken up at 7.40am with someone phoning us to check out how much wind there was in our neck of the woods. As I stumbled to the window and peeped out of the curtains it was clear it was too windy even at that early hour. A few hours of shall-we-shan’t-we debating followed, but in the end we wrote off going to the Malverns and spent the day sorting out the garden instead. It was a beautiful day, sunny, little cumulus, just way too windy.
By 7pm we were considering going out for an evening flight, but the wind stations were giving increasing winds, so I started packing for Piedrahita instead. It was a good decision – even at 9.45pm the trees were still thrashing.

Sorry about the wake-up call, I’ll ty not to make a habit of it, I promise! (Or maybe you can return the favour sometime if you are heading up north ….) π
Ta for the info, which helped me make the decision not to do the 2.5 hour trip down to the Malverns … a good call I think!

Well, I don’t know… there’s me being all discreet to protect the guilty.
:o)
No problem. We’re normally up at that time, but having got up at 6.30am the previous morning and in a committee meeting until 11pm, we were not really compus mentus at the time.
It was the right choice indeed.

Great, I won’t feel guilty next time I call that early then! π
Maybe we should formalise the arrangement … I provide you with an alarm call, you give me the local weather info in return π
