We get back to the UK after a week where people have flown 160km (well done John, Andy and Jean-Luc) and what happens… it’s raining and a howling gale! I’m not blaming us. It’s all the people who said “Bring back some Spanish weather with you.” It started raining there continuously the day after we left, so we did indeed bring it here with us.

Glad you’re both back and look forward to chatting next weekend. I watched Cris Miles (didn’t know it was him at the time) the other day after leaving Eyam, and as I could see he wasn’t rushing to pack away, and I wanted to land to stay out of airspace thought – he’s bound to have a lift on the way, so I wandered around for an extra 10K, then landed by him to find out he had no lift because his mate had gone a lot further and gone straight home. Still I had a nice afternoon at the pub with Cris and learnt stuff from an experienced XC man. I missed possibly the best day of the year the following Sunday and I’m still gutted that I wasn’t allowed out to play. See you at the bash.
