The forecast was poor. Warm front approaching and they were forecasting electrical storms, very strong winds and snow in the mountains. Can’t speak for the rest of the place, but here it was mostly sunny and then clouded over in the afternoon. Not a speck of rain and it wasn’t windy at all. We probably could have gone flying if we had not listened to the prophets of doom who work for Meteocat.

There were spectacular electrical storm(s) over Northern Mallorca on Tuesday night with strong winds and lashings of rain all day Wednesday. I know its a few miles away but they wern’t too far wrong. Also flying back over the Pyrenees I was suprised at how much whiter it was when compared to last Saturday so snow certainly did fall.

I think we have a little micro-climate here, given that we are nestled between the Med and the Pyrenees. We often have nice weather when all around us it’s windy, rainy or both. Just lucky I guess…
