What’s to say… I’m losing the will to blog!
We thought today would be the only chance of a flight this week, but our hopes were dashed by persistent heavy rain most of the day. We’ve resorted to indoor activities, so a game of squash got some of the frustration out of our system this evening.

I had in fact been sure that it would clear up enough to go fly late afternoon – maybe Much Marcle or Scaresfield down south. But it was so dire most of the day I thought it would never clear. In fact it did, and I guess I missed the chance as all the websites and webcams were showing it mostly sunny at teatime down there.
Ended up a nice afternoon in Telford. probably flyable but weather reports all gave the dreaded SW wind direction & light. Time Salter flew at Moel Famau – N. Wales Westerly site.
‘Arrived 17:15, just soarable at 8-13mph. Picked up through the evening, good lift under the sea breeze convergence cloud as it retreated N’wards. Sun came out, then toplandable until near sunset.’
The sun came out here in the afternoon too, and one person was ground handling on the Mynd, but it was raining again off and on in the evening. Ho hum…
The one person on the Mynd was me, & I was only trying to dry my wing out after Sunday evenings wet Mynd session.
Actually, Richard Westgate and others did fly on Clatter in the evening, though I don’t know how good it was.
