I used a lot of the skills I learned last year to do 30Km of crosswind flying today, only going downwind to find somewhere to land (actually choosing when and where to land). A failed triangle due to too much SSW wind but what the heck it was wonderful anyway and the views of the Derbyshire Dales were magical – I learned to hang glide at Bunster a very long time ago, and I’ve never been above take off height there before. See XC league for tracklog and storyboard.
