Geoff writes: a poor day, very cloudy and a bit of rain early on. We have work to do anyway, since the conference opens for reading this week. Monday is a bad forecast too, then after that, sunny with temperatures rising.

Very cloudy today. We did set the alarm clock early to see if it would be ok to go skiing, but the web cams at Masella showed the cloud right down to the lifts. It’s no fun going when you can’t see anything.
Instead we got on with the mountain of work we need to get through. The weather is actually turning out quite well. I hate working when the sun shines and I have more productive days when I can get my head down, uninterrupted, for a full 10 or so hours. Since there was no point looking out of the window, there was no interruption today! Weather looking better again from tomorrow, so at least we’re a bit ahead with the work.

Very marginal today, with 8/8 cloud cover. Felix was keen to go, but we were not convinced. As I was speaking to him it started drizzling at his place in Palamos, and that clinched it. We open the conference to presenters on Wednesday and are pulled out with work, so although it may have been flyable, we can’t spare the time on marginal days.
Still, an extremely productive work day… all the walkthroughs for the conference done; the papers and presentations so far received are edited and uploaded; and I managed to complete another podcast. To be released very soon.

Geoff writes: a working day. A bit wet and cloudy, but that meant more snow today at Masella. Tomorrow is forecast sunny, and temperatures are picking up, 15C tomorrow at the coast, but it should feel warmer than that. It will also probably be flyable, so we have to decide whether to ski or fly. We’ll check the 8.00 a.m. forecast and decide then, though we’re more likely to go skiing, given the limited time we can do that.
Of course, it might all change overnight, and be wet and windy….

Geoff writes: the weather was a bit in decline today, so we did some work – not too much of a hardship after four quite nice days really, with the last couple having some good skiing and flying. The NE corner of Spain, our bit, seems to have had the best weather in Spain recently, with fronts hitting the south more than us.
We did need to do some work anyway today, because of our upcoming conference at the end of the month.
Should be nice again tomorrow, we are hoping to ski. Depends how fast the front goes through.

Geoff writes: The lousy weather the rest of Europe is experiencing, we are too. We woke up to light snow which rapidly turned into rain – and is still raining. The good news about that is that there is plenty more snow in the ski resorts, which we will try and get to tomorrow if the roads are clear – though they might not be, the border into France is closed tonight because of the snow.
So yet another day of working, both for money (we have another conference starting in a few weeks), and for the LMSC; and we also released a new podcast. So a very productive day all in all. But we’d rather have been flying or skiing!

Looked nice at the ski resort of Masella, but unfortunately, it was grey, cloudy and mucky here. The forecast was ok, but the low cloud never did clear, so we spent the day working. Our season passes are not valid over the holiday period so we couldn’t go skiing, but from tomorrow we are free to ski again. Shame the weather forecast is terrible!
