It was forecast to be windy and possibly rain in the afternoon. East was best, so we headed for the beach at Roses with the bike and blades. We did the bay run from St. Margarida to the Roses marina a couple of times and chilled in the sun, had a picnic and topped up our tans.
It was hot, sunny and howling all day and we didn’t see the storms inland until we set off home.

We went to the beach today. It was cloudy at home in Garrotxa, but sunny at the coast, and we were invited to our first BBQ of the year at Roger and Venonique’s in Sant Feliu de Guixols. We went early to walk around, top up our tans and look at the fish. We managed the first two, but it was too choppy to see any fish from the pier.
In the evening we went to Roger’s new flat, which is brilliant. Sea views from back and front, balcony, roof terrace and pool. Heaven. We had great food and even better company.
