OK for hang gliders a the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.judithmole.net\/blog_map.html?mylat=52.522147&#038;mylong=-2.881771&#038;mytext=Click on the maximise button to see a video of the Long Mynd.&#038;myvideo=mynd.swf\" target=\"_blank\">Long Mynd<\/a>, but not paragliders, unless you arrived very early in the morning, as some people apparently did. Rather than me fly my hang glider, we decided to have a day off, and went first to do some archery shooting, then to visit a National Trust house, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/main\/w-vh\/w-visits\/w-findaplace\/w-dudmaston\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dudmaston Hall<\/a>. This was really nice, with a few rooms of the house open &#8211; but most of them not &#8211; and some lovely grounds to walk in. It&#8217;s famous for its art collections, including some modern art (something we are less than excited about). <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"float: right; border: 1px solid black; margin: 8px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.judithmole.net\/images\/280710_1.jpg\" title=\"Mentos and coke explosion.\" \/>It&#8217;s now owned by the National Trust, but the family still lives there, apparently.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a demonstration of what happens when you combine <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diet_Coke_and_Mentos_eruption\" target=\"_blank\">coke and Mentos mints<\/a>. The guy demonstrating it gave out instructions to all the kids there &#8211; which I&#8217;m sure will really please their parents when they try it in the living room.<\/p>\n<p>You can also see a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hKoB0MHVBvM\" target=\"_blank\">nice video<\/a> (but crap music) of some guys that really took this seriously!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.judithmole.net\/photo_galls\/280710\/index.html\"target=_blank> See photos of today.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Geoff writes: yet another windy day.
